The Tennessee Sheep Producers Association (TSPA) has been functioning since the 1930’s. The purpose of the Association is to encourage and promote the sheep industry within our state, work with universities in research and education, encourage the sale and marketing of sheep and sheep products, and assist in meeting the needs of all shepherds across our state. The TSPA is continuing to serve producers and provide many benefits to our members.
In 2010,Tennessee was ranked as the number two state in the nation for percentage growth! Be a part of an organization and industry still going strong in the Volunteer State!

Gestation in sheep varies from 142 to 152 days with the average being 147 days. Just like people, individual pregnancies can vary, gestation periods of 138 to 159 days are not unheard of. Ewes carrying multiple lambs tend to have shorter gestations while male lambs (and heavy birth weight lambs) are usually carried for longer than female lambs. The form above calculates the lambing date based on a 147 day gestation period.
